I speedrun retro games (especially JRPGs/action RPGs like the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series) and do other types of challenge gaming; and I post completed speedruns, highlights & bloopers here for others to watch and enjoy!

Super Castlevania IV Casual Speedrun
Very casual speedrun of Super Castlevania IV in honor of Furious Paul/Joana (top level runner of CV4 and maker of popular World of Warcraft levelling guides), who passed away on April 29, 2024. I hadn't played CV4 for a few years, but am very familiar with the game & speedrun strats.

Played on May 12, 2024. The Final Fantasy Legend played on Super Game Boy 2, North American SNES console (modded for component video output), and OEM controller (no turbo). Timing is from character control to the start of Creator's death animation. "No Saw Skill" means that the Saw monster ability (a likely bugged skill that instantly kills monsters/bosses stronger than the user) is not used. F...

RPGs need to be 100% on speed runs.
Why do chrono trigger characters look like DBZ?
Hey bud, Good to see you again. Hope all is well and thank you for dropping a video over here every once in awhile.
Is RNG manipulation not allowed in this speedrun or is this just a self-imposed rule?
I watched your gdq run and it was phenomenal. Im not a huge fan of the pixel remaster, but id be skeptically interested to see a full remake.
Just rewatched this for like the fifth time, and I have to say, your excitement and enthusiasm at getting your PB - which I know is not uncommon among runners when they get a PB - is so inspiring and fun and just makes me happy. I miss your streams of CT and FF6, though I know these games are pretty long.

Another day another puwexil. Loved seeing your run and commentary for RPGLB 2024. Also, Castlevania rocks.
Much love bro sorry it’s not a good time
Damn, I was pumped to see you speed run CV4 but the circumstances are sad
Sorry to hear about your friend Puwexil! ❤
It's funny to see this played in so little time. I'm sure I spent dozens of hours on it when I was kid, just wandering around, wondering what the heck was going on... :D
Welcome back!!
Glad your back, hope all has been well
"See you again!" Is it weird that it weighs on me a bit that one of these times I *won't* see it again??
It's incredible to see you back again! ;w;
The legend returns!!
Dude, you might not believe this, but I was going to say literally the EXACT SAME THING. Like, word-for-word. XD
Yay Puwexil
Sad that Lufia 2 isn't more popular. It is my second favorite snes game. Only losing to Final Fantasy 3 (VI).
I love this game so much. The music. The memories.
dude, you're King Friday The XIII from Mr Roger's neighborhood. You sound exactly like him
my god the geeks on the couch are painful to listen to.
Love it when Glenn flexes on ‘em 💪🏼 🐸

" in my dreams i do what I wish " 🌷
Excuse you.
Watched this today after hearing about Akira Toriyama passing. His artstyle on this game as well as in the Animated cutscenes was glorious! I had hope we would one day get a Chrono Trigger Remake, but if Toriyama can't be a part of it, then it is best we appreciate what we have.

Question: are there speedrun categories in which they try to beat the game as fast and "normal" as possible. I.e. the way the developers intended or as close to that as possible?
I remember as a kid trying to find this game calling multiple stores who were all out of it until I found one 45 minutes away that had a copy left.
The; Oathkeeper's XII vs El-Cid.⚜️
The smell is horrid.
This was my favorite game on SNES and here I didn't think that anyone knew about it! It is a hidden gem, just like you said puwexil! This along with Illusion of Gaia were my favorite Quintet games, and congrats on your new PB!
Great jokeresque laugh at 2:53:02
I like how you smiled when you finally heard kefka crack
I only watch the part of Figaro, b/c I always forget who and what to advance the game.
Dude Ive watched almost all of your runs of this, and youre only 13 seconds away from the record? Youve come too far. Go for it. Its yours!
Agreed! Puwexil's runs are so relaxing, easily one of my fav runners ever
I really like that you give an option for both a full commentary and a clean version of your runs. I always pick the commentary because I enjoy hearing it, but the added effort is appreciated!
I think the clean versions are mostly for the archive/record websites but it is definitely appreciated nonetheless.
6 years later...this was awesome to watch!
Keep up the good work, we love this stuff - the internet
I always look forward to your uploads. I replay the classic FFVI from GDQ every so often. Any chance you’ll ever do another FFVI or VII run?
You did it dude!
A 2 headed trex controls a volcano? I'm beginning to think there's some plot holes in this game..
Shave your head, totally... go Steve Austin and enjoy life... stop pretending
Nice run man! Good stuff to chill and watch
I miss frog🐸
Copycat
best long play guy ever
Thanks for playing this! It's a fav of mine
